Good Design will always win out. Such is the case here. Very nice nice variation on the original design, execution is exquisite.

We just purchased Monhegan Sunset from Allen Claude’s studio in Gardiner. Such a beautiful gallery in one of the prettiest towns in the midcoast Maine area. The print perfectly captures the Island Inn at sunset on Monhegan Island and blends stylized travel poster with vivid graphic art. Allen does amazing work.

I loved this print at first sight. The beach, water, and sunshine places the viewer in a peaceful place. You feel the joy of children, the love of a mother. It’s beautiful. I’ve hung this is my bedroom because it’s nice to see beauty, joy, peace and love as the day ends and as I drift off to sleep. I hope to add a second Alan Claude print on my next visit to Maine. I’m beyond thrilled with the gorgeous glicee print of “I am an Island” (and not just because the vertical version of this image will appear on the cover of a novel I have coming out next May). I so enjoyed visiting Alan Claude’s studio in Gardiner. It’s a lovely little town, and Alan is terrifically warm and welcoming. I was near the end of my Maine visit when I stopped by to order the print, and it almost beat me home!

Sadly I missed out on the 2025 calendar last year, but so happy to have gotten the 2026!!
