Cape Neddick Nubble Light Art Print 18" x 24" Travel Poster - Maine

Cape Neddick Nubble Light, in York, Maine is planted on a small rocky island that is 'so close yet so far' from the shore divided by a 100 foot channel. The vivid contrasting autumn light and shadows delivered the depth and dimension for the rock foundation I was seeking, but I added a soft delicate blueish shadow on the tower and the keeper's house. Three seagulls sat immovable atop the red brick oil house so I felt obliged to use them in my composition. My wife Erin chuckled as I recounted the true story of the keeper's cat "Mr T". In the 1930's, the cat would regularly swim and ride a wave to shore to hunt for mice in the nearby rocks. To create a further sense of distance, I used a quaint green-tinted sky along with high- altitude streaking clouds to complete the background.

The colors are bold and striking with a solid ink coverage reminiscent of silk- screen printing

Light house

My wife always wanted to get some of your artwork to show off at the cottage, but would never bring herself to make the purchase. So I broke down and bought this beautiful picture.

Beautiful piece of work. My family has grown up going to York, ME every summer since my father was young so this will be a great Christmas present for him! The product was also shipped quickly with great communication from the artist throughout the ordering and shipping process.

Love this picture!

I have been eyeing this artwork for years and finally bought it. —— The room it is hanging in was even painted with this picture in mind. It makes me smile every time I look at it.
The order and delivery process were both easy and fast. Very happy with everything!

Love your light houses!

My wife and I first were captured by your light houses. As part of our history, combined with your style, we were hooked. Each of you pictures reflects a part of our history, and brings back our favorite memories. Thank you!
